About the Trust
The Dr Margaret Lowenfeld Trust was set up after Dr Margaret Lowenfeld’s death to continue her work, in particular training in her methods and research related to her ideas, and ensure that her books remain in print and the equipment needed to practise her techniques is available.

Our Trustees

Dr Miranda Roberts (Chair)
Dr Miranda Roberts is the great niece of Margaret Lowenfeld and a practicing GP. She is the Chair of the Trust and is also responsible for Trust finances.

Oliver Wright
Oliver Wright is the great nephew of Margaret Lowenfeld and is also a practicing psychotherapist. He is responsible for the day-to-day communication for the Trust and for the website.

Susie Summers
Susie Summer is a retired speech and language therapist who was trained by Therese Woodcock in Lowenfeld’s approach to child psychotherapy. She is author of several books on the early communication of children.

Emma Roberts
Emma Roberts is also related to Margaret Lowenfeld. She is a marketing and digital media specialist and brings these skills to the Trust.

Theresa Fraser
Theresa Fraser is a sandtray teacher/mentor in Canada.
She trained extensively with Gisela De Domenico who trained with John Hood Willams who trained with Dr. Lowenfeld.
She is the past President of the Canadian Association for Play Therapy and the co-editor (with Rita Grayson, USA), of the recently released Book The Embodied Brain and Sandtray Therapy: Stories of Healing and Transformation.
Theresa has two clinical offices one in Nova Scotia and the other in Prince Edward Island Canada where clients of all ages have access to this powerful approach.
Theresa teaches sandtray to therapists in Canada, Australia and in the United States.
